Direct Selling Australia (DSA), have been using the Entegy Suite, delivered by MCI Australia since 2017. This year they wanted to innovate and try new app features to encourage interaction and engagement between delegates, increase ROI for exhibitor/supplier members of the association and build a more sustainable annual conference.
All-star speaker line-up
The two-day annual conference for the direct selling industry featured an all-star line-up of 35 industry-leading speakers including Justin Dry, Co-founder and CEO of Vinomofo, Kate Morris Founder Adore Beauty and Brodie Reid Global Brand and Content Manager at Tourism New Zealand.
The ‘app challenge’ sets the pace for engagement
MCI Australia worked with DSA to deliver an event app with live updates to schedules and instant messaging between delegates. In addition, a gamification feature was introduced to encourage delegate interaction with key features of the conference.
The ‘app challenge’ involved opportunities to win points via the app with plenty of great prizes up for grabs. This had a dramatic impact on app adoption compared to previous years with 68% of attendees participating.
Increasing ROI for exhibitors
For supplier members, a lead capture feature was introduced for more qualified sales opportunities post-event. Exhibitors had access to features including scanning attendees badges to capture their contact details, lead rating and qualifying questions as well as export for post-event follow-up.
